  • Alto Folgorosa wind farm

Alto Folgorosa wind farm is the most productive in Portugal and the only one to sell electricity at market tariff. It has 9 wind turbines and an installed capacity of 18 MW, of which Viesgo has a net power of 8.1 MW.

 

  • Ascoy wind farm

Year   1998

The 11 wind turbines at Ascoy wind farm provide an installed capacity of 7.64 MW, of which our company owns a net 1.16 MW. It is located in the municipality of Cieza in Murcia, a region in which Viesgo Renovables also has a mini hydro power plant.

 

  • Barão de São João wind farm

Power   45 MW

Year   2008

This is the largest of our wind farms in Portugal, with 25 wind turbines and an installed capacity of 50 MW. Viesgo has a net power of 45 MW. Located near Lagos, it is also environment friendly and recently recorded a mortality rate of zero migratory birds.

 

  • Bodenaya wind farm

This is one of Viesgo’s three wind farms in Asturias and is located in the municipality of Salas. It has 12 wind turbines and an installed capacity and net power of 18MW, as it is wholly owned by Viesgo.


  • Boquerón wind farm

Year   2001

Like Borja I and II, Boquerón wind farm is located in the same municipality in Zaragoza. Its imposing network of wind turbines is most notable: 75 in total, providing a total installed capacity of 49.50 MW. Viesgo’s net power is 24.75 MW.

 

  • Borja I wind farm

Located in Las Planas de Borja, a plateau closely linked to wind power, this was one of our first wind farms. We have a net power of 8.1 MW of the 16.2 MW installed capacity provided by its 27 wind turbines.

 

  • Borja II wind farm

Year   2001

This is one of the wind farms with the highest installed capacity (49.60 MW), where we have a net power of 11.41 MW. It has 62 wind turbines and is a benchmark throughout Castilla-La Mancha.

 
 

  • Carcelén wind farm

El parque eólico de Alto Folgorosa es el más productivo de Portugal y el único que vende electricidad con tarifa de mercado. Tiene 9 aerogeneradores y una capacidad instalada de 18 MW, de los cuales Viesgo tiene una potencia de 8,1 MW netos.


  • Espinhaço de Cão wind farm

This is the smallest of Viesgo’s wind farms, with 5 wind turbines but wholly owned by our company and very efficient operations, producing a net 10 MW. It is located near the municipality of Aljezur.

 

  • Parque eólico de Hiperión II

Year   2011

In terms of installed capacity and net power (50 MW), this is the second largest wind farm operated by Viesgo, and which it wholly owns. It has 20 wind turbines and is located in the municipality of Suellacabras.

 

  • Joguinho wind farm

Power   11,70 MW

Year   2006

Located near Torres Vedras, it has 13 wind turbines and a total installed capacity of 26 MW. Viesgo has a net 11.70 MW. It also includes a receiver to redirect the television signal to local municipalities.

 

  • La Victoria wind farm

Year   2009

Wholly owned by Viesgo, its 12 wind turbines provide an installed capacity and net power of 23.21 MW. This wind farm is located in Chiclana de la Frontera.


  • Mallén wind farm

Year   2006

This is the only one of our eight wind farms in Zaragoza to be wholly owned by Viesgo. Its 15 wind turbines provide an installed capacity and net production of 30 MW.

 

  • Matabuey wind farm

Power  16,20 MW

Year   2010

Built by Eólica Salmantina and subsequently purchased entirely by Viesgo, this wind farm has 8 wind turbines and an installed capacity and net power of 16.2 MW. It is located in the municipality of Garcihernández.

 

  • Mingorrubio wind farm

Viesgo wholly owns this wind farm, with an installed capacity of 16 MW and 13 wind turbines.

 

  • Páramo de Poza wind farm

Power   14,65 MW

Year   2002

This is the largest wind farm in which Viesgo operates, with 133 wind turbines and an installed capacity of 100.67 MW. Our net power in this large facility, located in the municipality of Poza de la Sal, is 14.65 MW.

 

  • Paxareiras wind farm

Year   1997

Paxareiras wind farm, with 66 wind turbines and an installed capacity of 39.60 MW, is located next to the Muros estuary at the mouth of the Tambre river. Viesgo’s net MW amount to 19.21.

 

  • Pico Gallo wind farm

Year   2001

Wholly owned by Viesgo, this wind farm has an installed capacity of 24.42 MW. It has 37 wind turbines and is located in the sierra of Tineo.

 

  • Planas de Pola wind farm

Power   17,82 MW

Year   1999

Located in the centre of the Ebro river depression in the municipality of Tauste, this large wind farm has 54 wind turbines and an installed capacity of 35.64 MW. The net power of Viesgo Renovables at this wind farm is 17.82 MW.

 

  • Remolinos wind farm

Year   1997

It is named after the municipality where it is located, in the Ebro river depression. It was one of Viesgo’s first wind farms, with 18 wind turbines, and our company has a net power of 5.87 MW.


  • San Juan de Bargas wind farm

Power   21,06 MW

Year   2005

With its 56 wind turbines, it has an installed capacity of 44.81 MW. Viesgo has a net power of 21.06 MW. It is located in Alberite de San Juan and is one of our company’s eight wind farms in the province of Zaragoza.

 

  • Santo Cristo de Magallón wind farm

At this wind farm, located near the municipality of Magallón, Viesgo has a net power of 14.50 MW, which accounts for 36% of its installed capacity (40.28 MW). The wind farm is made up of 20 wind turbines.

 

  • Sierra de Tineo wind farm

Power 44 MW

Year   2009

Together with Pico Gallo, this is the other wind farm owned by Viesgo in the municipality of Tineo. Despite having fewer wind turbines, 22 in total, its installed capacity and net power are higher (44 MW).
